Parkinson’s can involve movement and non-movement symptoms. Symptoms can overlap with other conditions, so diagnosis belongs with a qualified clinician.
Movement symptoms
Common features include tremor, slowness of movement, rigidity and gait or balance changes.
Non-movement symptoms
People may also experience constipation, sleep problems, mood changes and changes in thinking.
A symptom list cannot diagnose Parkinson’s. Persistent or concerning changes deserve professional assessment.
